Season of the Witch is a movie about a crusader from the 14th century, which comes back home in an area which is destroyed by the appearance of the Black Plague. The movie's director is called Sena Dominic and he has worked with Nicholas Cage before, at the Gone In 60 Seconds movie, one of my favorites at the time. The scenario of the Season of the Witch movie is written by Bragi F. Schut, who was also the writer and creator of Threshold.
The movie is quite good, even though Nicholas Cage has a recent history of roles that isn't exactly impressive. Still, he remains a great actor and I make it a point to never miss one of his movies. Besides Cage's performance, the movie provides plenty of nice moments, some of them truly creepy. The movie's premise is very nice and the movie itself is well made, with a good production.
Besides Nicholas Cage, some of the other actors you can see in this movie are Christopher Lee, Ron Perlman, Stephen Graham, Sheehan Robert, Stephen Moore Campbell and Claire Foy. Graham and Perlman are great and they should be enough reason for anyone to see this movie, if Nicholas Cage isn't enough of a reason. Both these actors deliver a nice performance and they're worth watching.
Season of the Witch is a nice movie, which I would recommend to anyone. I love medieval looking movies and this one has a great actor in it, with great past performances, so it should be a nice movie for almost anyone.
